Controlling Understory Vegetation
Our herbicide spray unit consists of a self-powered air-blast mist blower mounted onto a KMC track skidder. The KMC's "tank-like"track system has floating wheels which contour to the ground. The results are a machine that is equally capable of traversing wetland-type soils with minimal disturbance or climbing slopes upwards of 55% or more. Our system works well on controlling nearly all unwanted vegetation up to an approximate height of twenty feet.

Deer Exclosure Fences
FRS installs both woven-wire and electric deer exclosure fencing in order to reduce the effects of overbrowsing caused by deer. Deer exclosure fencing is designed to protect, diversify, and enhance desirable understory vegetation.

Basal Herbicide Applications and Other Services
We provide basal herbicide spray treatments. This method of applying herbicides is directed at larger understory trees not affected by conventional air-blast applications. Additional services promoting forest regeneration will be available in the future. Have a special problem? Call us!
